Schooled in England and
graduated in 1984 with a Diploma in Valuation
Surveying. Started his surveying career as a valuation
assistant with Jordan Lee & Jaafar, Kuala Lumpur up to 1981
before pursuing tertiary education in England. Upon
graduation in 1984, he rejoined Colliers, Jordan Lee &
Jaafar as a Graduate Valuer.
Seconded to its Ipoh Branch
in 1987 as an Assistant Branch Manager/Valuer. Left Colliers
in October 2004 and become partner to the present company
and started the Perak Branch in June 2005.
Fully responsible for
organizing preparation valuations of special job assignments
comprising valuations for SC (Securities Commission)
submissions since 1989 for RCI until the recent Hovid Bhd. &
Carotech Bhd. listings in 2004, valuation of specialized
properties (eg. large development/theme parks/recreational
resort projects, quaries, plant & machinery, specialized
agricultural holdings (prawn/turtle/ ornamental fish farms)
and land rights.
Consultation works in
relation to joint venture, privatisation projects, land
acquisitions, stamp duty and real property gains tax and
also direct property consultation/management to the building
team in the management of a property portfolio including a
15-storey office building and industrial/residential
properties.
Handling estate agency works
from listing to completion of sales and is also the director
in charge of the Perak Office.
